Hi guys,

1st problem I have occured with an ebay transaction :(. 10 good ones and my 1st bad one here...

Well this guy wins the auction.

17/06/04
-He laters emails me for my address and to confirm that I am sending it from the UK.
-I email him THAT night with the my address and comfirmation that I am sending from England. BUT it seems that he DID NOT get the email.

18/06/04
-Next day I send him another email. No reply.

19/06/04
-He sends me this in an email

It is a great pity that HeangKoing does not bother to respond to my email

-I send him another email and he gets it.

20/06/04
-I get this email from him

I sent you an email at 9.13am on 17th of June, I have just recieved a reply.though I have had no less than FIVE payment reminders. I do not have any confidence in your ability to complete this transaction satisfactorily, and am not happy to proceed with the deal.

-I sent him this email:

You have my details now. The emails I sent said they were sent on my side of things. Included is a print screen of my emails sent to you.

You have had FIVE payment reminders BECAUSE YOU HAVE NOT PAID YET.

You have had an email on the 17th and today is the 20th that is THREE DAYS. You HAVE NOT PAID YET...

If you are not happy to proceed with the deal I will have to file for a NON PAYING BIDDER. It is THAT SIMPLE FOR ME. You won the auction.

If you pay promptly I will send the package out promptly also. It is that simple.

Do you think he is being harsh? I sent him the info he required on the day I got the email. But it seems that it DID NOT SEND through? I later send another and same thing happens. I send him a later one and he replies.

It seems like he found a better deal and is now trying to back out on me.

So what would you guys suggest I do?

Thanks a lot.

-He sends this email to me:

AS I stated in my earlier email, although I have had five payment reminders, I have had, until yesterday, no reply to my email regarding your personal details. If you think that I was going to pay via paypal to an anonymous seller without knowing at least his address then you must be mad. The fact that it has taken over three days to respond to a simple email makes me wonder just how long it would take for you to send the item after payment was made. Also, I have done some research after this fiasco and have discovered that the item IS available in the UK, you said that it was not - that, at the very least, is misleading.

No mate, the deal is off. I would advise you to think carefully before leaving feedback as I can assure you that any negative feedback left will be reciprocated.

What reply would you send back? Thanks.

-My reply to him:

PayPal has buyer's protection and that I am sorry for the emails not sending through but I did send them. Also PayPal has the seller's address also.

If you do not go ahead and buy the item you bidded on I will be have to file for a NON PAYING BIDDER.

It isn't in the UK as far as OFFICIAL RELEASE date is.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000197Z3A/026-2812351-5736440

It clearly states that the uk release is 13th August 2004. You may be able to find an import shop but it isn't on official UK release until 13th August 2004.

I really think his point is invalid on the game not being released in the UK yet. Sure you CAN buy it in the UK but the official release date is 13th August 2004. I should have stated the official UK release date though :(

He is being an asshole. If he doesn't pay, file non-paying bidder. If he pays, don't leave positive feedback till he leaves you one. If he doesn't leave any, wait till the 90th day to leave one.

Okay thanks dude.

Yeah I was thinking it has only been 3 days since his email. It seems like he doesn't intend to pay for it :(.

But yeah thanks I'll go with a non payind bidder if he doesn't pay. If he does I'll just send him the item.

This guy is a whacko, and a complete Ebay noob. Paypal has the seller's address. If there is a problem, they have protection for you.
I think his negative feedback threat violates Ebay's policies.

My guess is that he has an overzealous spam filter which was eating your original mails (the word eBay trips alot of filters), so it's most likely his or his ISP's fault he didn't get the original mails. You may wish to remind him of this, or at least tell him to whitelist your address (if he has the ability).

Once he realizes this, he will most likely (in my experience) calm down and realize you've been direct and a good communicator all along.

What he said. Example: My ISP installed a new spam/virus filter a while ago. Unfortunately the thing had a flaw in it, and unless you attached a compressed zipfile made with PowerArchiver it would reject any email containing an attached compressed file. (Because it said it couldn't determine the format and that it might be a virus) Several correspondances were lost because of that. Just goes to show you that ISPs can do funky things.

Anyway, you aren't being harsh really, though you probably could have been more diplomatic. Since he says he's worried about the deal just point out that PayPal offers buyer's protection which should be sufficient to set his mind at ease. He has no grounds to cancel the purchase.

Thanks for the advice guy. REALLY appreciate it. 10 for you all :D

Going to email him now and say PayPal has buyer's protection and that I am sorry for the emails not sending through but I did send them.

Also how long does it take to get rid of negative feedback? As if I do give him negative feedback he WILL give me one also. Is the precedure long? Thanks.
