YAEBT: Buyer's addy incorrect, doesn't reply to emails, pkg in limbo

It never fails with EBay. Something always goes wrong. I've done everything correct as the seller:

CLIFFS
Buyer wins item and pays instantly
I print shipping label right off PayPal
Shipped USPS
Item Undeliverable As Addressed :hmm:
I email buyer thru EBay that very day to alert him, tell him to check post office the next day
Buyer doesn't respond

This was 3 days ago. So, I have my money but his item is either at the post office or on it's way back to me. Not sure. I've not heard from him. I don't want any probs. What should I do at this point? If his addy was not correct in PayPal that is not my fault. In my email to him I told him I would reship to a diff addy but he would have to pay postage. I think that's fair.

Advice?

PayPal has already released the money to me. No scamming going on here.

Close your paypal account and change banks. Also put blocks on all the major credit bureaus.

Just one more reason why I stay away from using Ebay. I loved it and used it all the time 5-6 years ago but now days scams are everywhere.

See, that's the thing. His payment cleared a couple of days ago and I already emptied my PayPal account. :ninja: I just want to give the buyer what he paid for and have no probs with FeeBay. That's why I emailed him thru EBay's message center; so they could see I'm on it and trying to fix the situation.

Again, I printed the shipping label off PayPal; it his responsibility to ensure the addy is correct, not mine. I'm going to email Ebay tonight..or open up a "case" (vs. dispute) to see what they say. Right now I don't know if the package is sitting at the post office in his city, or if it's on it's way back to me. It's not insured, which has me a little nervous. I paid for delivery confirmation but not insurance...all the EBay/PP fees are bad enough.

It's weird that he hasn't replied to me or just emailed to say "Where's my stuff?" I'm wondering if maybe the guy got sick or is traveling or something.

I had a feeling the PO would just return the package to me, but I wanted to check so I called the PO and asked. They told me "if you had a return addy on there it will be returned there." I did, so I guess soon I'll have his money and his item. And I'm sure a ton of hate mail from him/EBay for being a "dishonest seller". :roll:

I will open a case w/FeeBay tonight. *sigh*Why's it gotta be difficult? Ironically, this was the LAST ITEM in a string of about 14 that I sold recently. Always on the last one. F'ing A, man. :disgust:
