There is an item on ebay I'm interested in (fan shroud for 300ZX) and I want to see if the seller will go ahead and sell it ending the auction early. Will he incur any fees. Is this unethical. I really need it and I don't want to wait six days. My offer would be damn close to what you could get a new one for but the dealer will take two weeks to get it.

well, if the seller ends early he isn't protected by eBay if you decide to rip him off. that's why most sellers won't end the auction early.

It's supposedly against eBay policy, but nobody cares. It's all just personal prefrence. Does the auction look like this is a guy with a box of 1000, or just some guy with a shroud?

It is just a shroud. Doesn't matter. Here is the response:

"Please let me know if you could use any other parts. I believe in treating all people and businesses fairly and honestly. Therefore, I will not sell them outside of e-bay because that is not fair to e-bay and unethical. However, I will try to get them listed on e-bay for you to bid on as inexpensively and quickly as I can."

Doesn't seem to be against Ebay policy though:
