Haven't really purchased anything from eBay in over a year, but decided to purchase a Sega Genesis package because the woman wanted a Genesis. Found a decent deal and paid immediately using PayPal. Guy shipped it the following day and I just got it today. Take a look at his packing job.

External Packaging

The Contents

He used Duct tape to hold the box together since it was one of those perforated boxes that actually shrink down to another size. Didn't think it was that bad until I opened the package and saw everything thrown inside with no padding.

So the question is, negative or neutral eval? He has already left me positive feedback.

yea, if stuff works, then neutral. you got the stuff... negative should be reserved for DOA's that aren't taken care of and non-recieved product/stolen money. u got the stuff, and if it works, give neutral for bad packaging that risked damage.

If it was me, I wouldn't even bother testing. I'd send that crap right back to the seller and demand my money back.

Is that so he can't respond to the negative?

I'm pretty sure that's how it works. He can't respond or give you a negative in return ! :Q

NEgs/pos are so stupid on ebay, everyone is so immature, it's like blackmail, bend over backwards or i'll give you a negative, and even if one party(such as yourself) did everything correctly, if you give a negative, almost ALWAYS you will be responded too with a negative in retaliation....

If it all works, give him a neutral. If its broken ask for your money back and base his feedback on how that is handled.

if nothing is broken, a neutral. if there are issues with the contents and he wont put them right, negative.

I would give him a neutral so he can learn how to properly pack items for shipping :)

Word

Yes

If nothing is broken, then he just did a stupid thing that didn't affect you. People read neutrals and negatives.

Personally, no matter if it works or not, bad packaging to me equals instant negative.

I hold AT traders to the same standard.

well it depends if there is any damage to the system. All the items in there seem plastic so i dont see how bad it could be although he should of just thrown them in there...at least add newspaper or something!
