Dear eBay Sellers:

Expedited Shipping does not mean wait until four or more days after your auction has sold and the buyer has paid and one day prior to the estimated delivery date before you even acquire the shipping label, let alone actually ship the item out.

Mind you, I don't actively go look for items marked as "expedited shipping", nor am I ever in a hurry for anything that I'm buying off eBay, but come on! If you're going to list it as such, at least know what you're doing! This seems to be relatively commonplace too in my experience.

Maybe it takes him 4-5 days of "processing", but actual ship time is 1 day. Still retarded either way.

If you're my buyer in Michigan, my bad.

lol no.

I actually did have one seller send me a message apologizing for the delay, due in part to Labor Day weekend. Even so, I got the message saying he would ship out immediately (Wednesday). The item didn't end up shipping until 3 days later.

Each listing has a handling time. If they don't make that window, you have the right to complain.

I dislike ebay. Haven't bought or sold anything for over 10 years. I don't know why it's so popular.

I needed a bottle of Tamyia model glue (plastic cement), and I went to my local model and hobby store. They don't carry it. Considered driving all over LA looking for it, but found that I could buy it for $4.50 shipped from Taiwan. That's what I did. It arrived last night.

Also, I use Powerstep Pinnacle insoles in my shoes. They're not easy to find, but they sell them in some shoe stores for ~$40. They sell for ~$30 on Amazon. I bought three pairs on ebay (from a guy who owns a shoe store in Michigan) for <$20 each (shipped).

Convenient and inexpensive for some stuff. That's why I buy some stuff from ebay. It's also why I like Amazon. Seems obvious.

Glad it works out for you 🙂

I dislike ebay and haven't SOLD anything there for many years. As for buying ... that is another matter. While not a "perect" market it gets close for certain buyers. I pick up odds and ends there all the time at a ffraction of the cost of retail. An example would be the overly-priced replacement parts used in 2-cycle lawn equipment. I search, I click and I wait for the part to arrive ... I don't even have to leave the house.

Ebay killed my interest in selling there with their ever-rising fees and the lack of seller protection on PayPal transactions. You risk losing both your item AND your money every time to try to sell there. All a buyer has to do is file a claim ... PP almost always sides with the buyer.
