Answer truthfully. I already know Zim's answers, though. :p ;beer

Ditto. A friend and I stopped by our bar last night to have "a few drinks" which of course turned into a $50 tab. All before 9 pm too!

don't knock it till youve tried it.

edit: Just read that youve never tried it..... /sigh. Why post something like this? It isn't how you see described. You can get drunk, and not be a talkative, yelling, angry, or otherwise stupid drunk. You can be a quiet drunk, or a reserved drunk who is facked out of his mind and can laugh at the crazy drunks :)

Drinking can help take your mind off of problems your having, so its a nice way to get away.

can someone explain the appeal?

im not knocking it, i just don't see how it would be desirable to impair your bodies senses, and have to endure a hangover. I want to know why people keep going back to it, after it takes so much out of them

it seems like it is just another problem though, wouldnt you rather face your problem clear minded, than ignore it, and be sick the next morning?

Good way to unwind and relax after a hard day at work

Ummmm

Its a temporary thing. its like taking a break from your problems on a friday night, and then dealing with them on saturday and sunday,

Sick? I have gotten drunk many times without getting sick. Just know your limits, and dont drink into the sick point. drink lots of water, no hangover or anything.

getting drunk != sick and hangover.... at least not for everyone. (this just shows that you really have no clue about it) and thus Im trying to help explain it.

just because you drink enough to get drunk doesnt mean you are going to wake up hungover. in my years of doing it, ive waken up ive think once or twice hungover from an all-night bender. and a tall glass of water and food in my stomach usually fixes that right up. but most times i wake up at 7:00am ready to tackle my day (which sucks btw, waking up that early on a day off). its just every once in awhile it doesnt hurt to let your inhibitions go and just relax and have a good time. but to each his own i suppose.

Lets see...I don't drink to ignore my problems, I get absolutely hammered regularly and I don't get hangovers.

I do it because its fun. You call it 'impairing your senses'...right...just do it one time and find out. Unless you're 15 years old...ha I used to think like you back then.

ya, i dont even listen to the band... i put that because it's what it sounds like when my grandma cusses... she'll yell "Judist Priest" in place of say "dam it"... i alwasy thought it was funny, and unique to her... but apperantly they named a rock band after the word my grandma uses to cuss with :p

Altering one's perception of reality is an entertaining pastime. Which explains why mankind has been doing it for probably longer than recorded history.
Also, as mentioned, not all people get hangovers. I have to drink far beyond the blackout point to get a hangover (of course once you're blacked out that's easy to do :p)

the last question in your pole sucks. sometimes i drink with friends, sometimes i go to a bar and hang out, have a beer, play some trivia, and talk to whoever sits next to me.
