YADT: Need advice on what dog to possibly get?

Ok so I'm thinking of getting a dog and I need advice on which breed to get.

Here are the main requirements:
1.) Doesn't shed a lot
2.) Nice temperment (very friendly)
3.) Doesn't chew stuff
4.) Doesn't require a lot of daily exercise
5.) Doesn't get nervous if I go to school
6.) Won't bankrupt me (doesn't require too much upkeep monetarily)
7.) Dog will be indoors.

Here's my situation:
1.) Will live in a two story house with 4 other people (though may get an apt of my own)...they're cool with me getting a dog.
2.) Go to law school for maybe 20-30 hours a week.
3.) I can potentially afford to spend $ to go to a reputable breeder?

Buy yourself one of those Japanese mechanical dogs or just get a stuffed doggie. Dogs require love and attention and will not obey your rules just because you want them to.

To be honest, I don't think you are mature enough to own and care for any animal.

I have spent most of my life having dogs......a total of about 50 years. I currently have two who I love dearly.

Dogs require a lot of love and effort if they are to behave. If you ignore them they will tear your home up because they are bored. What you are asking for is a stuffed doll.

Dogs will piss and shyt anywhere they feel like it if you aren't there to take them out. When the weather gets warm all dogs shed. Temperament depends entirely on you; are you good to your doggy and there for him? All dogs require exercise, else they get fat or start tearing your home apart. Dogs sometimes get sick and require very expensive medical procedures to prolong their lives.

You are an ignorant fvck and shouldn't be allowed to own a dog. Dogs are wonderful creatures when treated properly, but you are not in a situation where you should have one.

Yea, they're small. Won't send you to the poor house. Easy to maintain and don't eat as much.

Rat terriers are cool. They look sort of like little pit bulls(ie terrier), very friendly, short hair, but they are energetic, and will want attention and play time. Really though, ant young dog you get will demand attention. Deny it whats it needs and like HappyPuppy so correctly said, they will rebel, and you wont like it.

Sounds like you need to adopt a older dog thats not so active anymore. He will still want attention, but will not be so demanding. Better yet, wait untill you have the time to take care of a dog, it will be so much more rewarding for you, and you dog.
