Friday night my dog started barking as though in pain. We thought it was just an attention grabbing tactic since my dad was away on business and just got back. This morning he didn't down a single piece of food nor water, in fact he was scared sh*tless to go near it. Then came the constant barking (the one he makes when he's in pain). Dad took him to a vet ASAP, got X-rays and there seems to be a rod-shaped object in his intestines.
Doc suggested leaving him overnight and giving him "something" to eat and seeing if it would pass out. If it doesn't, surgery is required.
He's only a 7 month old poodle.... 🙁
