YADHLCT - Yet another DHL complaint thread

Can someone explain to me why it takes DHL nearly 6 months to charge you following a shipment?

I shipped an item back around October, and just yesterday they finally got around to charging me.

How can this be an efficient business model?

I stopped shopping at Outpost.com because they only use DHL and I've had shitty service every time. Great company (Outpost/Frys) but very bad business decision to use DHL.

yeah, when i use dhl i go to their local 'main' office

they handwrite the credit card numbers on a slip, like 1980's style

then 2-4 months later, it finally shows up on my statement. they don't seem to have real POS (point of sale) system to take CC payments in place at their drop off offices

I have an outpost/dhl hub about 30 minutes north of my house. I can order items from Newegg on Monday and they usually arrive by wed/thurs. The same item from dhl/outpost will take at least 7 days with some sorry excuse/delay. I try to avoid e-tailers that use DHL.

I once had their customer rep tell me my package wont be delivered on time because all their drivers were busy for the day.

We tried to use DHL to deliver our items but decided to go back to UPS. Never again!
They gave us a PC to handle shipment (pilot program) and each time I stopped by, our sales guy from DHL was there fixing the PC.
Mind you I'm the IT guy but I didnt offer my services.

I love DHL. They are the only company that actually ships to my small rural town in Canada. UPS and Fedex simply toss the packages on Greyhound which is SLOW SLOW SLOW and incompetent.

Thumbs up DHL.

They are usually several days faster than Fedex/UPS.

Someone is going to hate DHL, FedEx and UPS for bad service at some point in their life.

DHL Overnight by morning is good but DHL Ground = HORRIBLE
