Just when you think you've seen it all when it comes to bad driving, someone comes along and tops your list..

This evening I was driving home to my apt..and as I pull up to an ordinary left turn lane on a road with 4 lanes in each direction including the left turn lane..I see a woman on a cell phone pull up onto the lane to the LEFT of me facing the OTHER side of traffic.

Apparently for some strange reason in the broad daylight she thought that a pair of solid yellow lines means that you can drive to the left of it while there's a car going the same direction to your right.

The light was red in our directions, but the left turn light for traffic to our right had just turned green. There were two left turn lanes here, so the car on the outer lane just went past the dumbass woman on her left, while the car on the inside lane pulled up in front of her, honking the sh!t out his horn..and it seemed to be at this point that the woman just realized the extent of her stupidity.

She proceeds then to go into reverse and pull her car behind mine in the proper lane..STILL on her phone. Drivers making the left turn from the right side of us give her a strange look by as they pass, all thinking the same thing I was thinking at that moment..HOW CARELESS CAN YOU POSSIBLY BE ON THE ROAD AND NOT BE DEAD YET?

 
I hearby declare and resolve that I will stop making Spider references in the threads of Syringer, for it has become old and not funny.



This resolution might make it out of the week, we'll see how it goes.

It's probably just me, but I usually have a hard time picturing a traffic scene when people post about it here on atot. I dunno why, but I just can barely get the correct orientation/direction of who is going where, or who is doing what...a diagram usually solves this problem.

I took me 4 times to read over this to finally understand but even then I wasn't 100% sure...that is until M4H made that diagram 🙂
