I am contemplating on purchasing a dvd wrter instead of a hard drive.

now, I have narrowed my choices down to a few:

1. TDK An420 ?
2. Sony U10A
3. Memorex Officemax deal
4. HP300i ( possible officemax/officedepot/staples ) special.

which do you think is the way to go ?

Is dual format over-rated ? If I were to go either DVD-R/RW or DVD+R/RW which format would be better ?
