I'd like to get some suggestions for my second digicam. The features that I'm looking for include:

- Large optical zoom (200mm or greater)
- SLR-like features (arpeture priority, shutter priority, full manual)
- Manually selectable ISO100-400
- Manually selectable white balance
- AE lock (preferably on a dedicated button)

Resolution is not an issue but price is, I don't mind a 2.0MP camera as I usually print 4R only.

I've looked at some models at www.dpreview.com and so far the Olympus C-730UZ fits my bill. However, I'm a bit concerned about the user reports of high noise levels so... any comments from owners of this model, or any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
:)atwl

With those specs, DC that I can think of are Minolta Dimage 7Hi 7X Zoom, Coolpix 5700 8X Zoom or DSC-F717 5X Zoom.
Oly C-7XX series have 8X - 10X zoom but I think the picture quality kinda average, too much noise and lack of detail.
2MP that does all of those ? make it yourself :)

Ahh... that... oops! :eek::Q:D

I'm planning to allocate about US$500 inclusive of accessories (128MB storage, extra battery, charger, lens hood, etc).

I really like the DSC-F717 but it is way out of my budget... :(
What about the Minolta Dimage 5? Specs look good on paper but I've read a lot of complaints about focusing....
