Leaning heavily towards purchasing a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7K for $241 shipped off Pricegrabber

Other choices include the Canon S2IS or S3IS but both are more expensive and offer about the same performance. Only other drawback of the FZ7 is it does not take AA batteries but since I rarely shoot 300+ photos in a given time period I rarely pack extra batteries anyway.

Any other cameras I should be looking at. Obvisouly price is a factor and at $241 I'm looking for a bargain!

i just posted about this camera! I bought one recently and I'm trying to figure out accessories. I like it so far but haven't done much with it as all i have is the supplied 16mb memory card. There is some good advice here but otherwise check out dpreview and stevesdigicams. You can get an extra battery for the fz7 from newegg for less that $20
