My car's carpets are getting pretty dirty. I was wondering if anyone has experiences with one of those steam vacumn cleaners? Do they really get the dirt out? Anyone have any other suggestions to clean the carpets in cars? Any particular brands of steam cleaners I should consider?

 
I have used the Rug Doctor brand steam cleaner and it works well. Just give yourself sometime to let the carpet dry out completely before driving it again.
 
The thing is, do they have the little portable ones? All I remember is that the Rug Doctor was too big to work inside my car.
