I'm biased towards German cars. That said I think VW's are a good value. I have a Passat Wagon and I love it. It's major shortcoming is that it is 190 HP. I understand the next model year will have the W8 engine. That should be good for 280 to 300 hp. Might want to hold off and have a look at it.

Check out the Toyota Solara. It's like a two door version of the Camry, but it looks much nicer. TRD makes a supercharger for it too.
