YACT: YAY my mom's getting a job and a Benz :)

Yay #1:
My mom got a job after 2 years of unemployment... she was a financial analyst for Visteon and got laid off due to the economy (living in Michigan doesnt help). Now she got a job at ford which is perfect (shes got 15+ years of experience working for ford). Apparently people are getting pretty desperate, she was telling me that on couple of interviews they were looking for people w/ college diplomas and 5 years of experience and offering 30G a year (!!). I think they offered her 35 of something redicuouls since shes got 15 years of experience at masters in economics.... she just got up and left


Yay #2:
Since mom got a job, we're in dire need of an extra car. Luckily i found a good deal on a 97 MB c230 thats right in Ann Arbor. I went to see the car and its in immaculate condition (one owner, all maintenance history) and rides WAY smoother than my a4. The owner was asking for 9G (100k miles on the car) and we talked him down to 8800. I will have pics tomorrow

dont worry too much. It all comes down to who do you know really. If you know someone that knows somsone, youll get it

My mom was making 75K before and now its only 55 or 58

when you say you're unemployed, do you mean you don't even try to get a job at starbucks or some random place?

I still collect unemployment insurance which makes it not worthwhile for me to accept jobs less than $13/hr. For the last couple of months I been taking an intense training course (40/hr week) in Catia V5 in hopes of making me more marketable.
