YACT:will 6.5" speakers fit in my yukon ?

I have a 4door 95 yukon and am wanting to replace the speakers with kicker 6.5" speakers, I googled for the speaker size for my vehicle and it said 7" speaker size. Crutchfield says 6 3/4 so Im a bit confused of what my limits/sizes I can use.

so what size(s) can I put in the front door and rear door, I think they are both the same size.

I'd just pull one out and measure it. It's possible they're an odd size, and you have to use standard 6 3/4" speakers with adapters.

I used crutchfield before. They're very good. They even gave you step-by-step instruction for each vehicle. If it doesnt fit, I'm sure you can return w/o problems.

So why would you want new speakers in your car, when you don't even use it?

Ok, one more newb question, I would ask my dad to help but my rents are out of town for a week or so.

How do you pull the door covers off? I saw screws on the bottom of the door last night but they were screwed in the metal part of the door, I dont think thats it. Having a hard time trying to get to the speakers:/

and pcmarine, I drive when Im not working, I dont count how much I spend on gas every month, its about 50 or so bucks to fill it up though. I use it just not on the 30minute drive m-f to work:beer:
