YACT - Who steals valve caps? Really... (Thanks zenm)

(just had to rant somewhere, since my GF thinks I'm being crazy to be upset about it)

Who the F steals the little valve caps on tires? I mean really... I parked my new Mazda P5 at the mall today when I went in suit shopping. I come back out, and I noticed that one of the valve caps was missing. The little shiny metal ones. I think, weird, how did it fall off? I look at all the other tires and they're all gone. Nothing but naked stems on all the tires.

WTF? What kind of ghetto superstar am I dealing with here. Jeezus...

Thanks for listening...

edit : Thanks zenm, couldn't think of the right word... I'm a moron...🙂

don't think you're supposed to put your bling bling on the stems man. next time go for something that's more time consuming to remove (rims that spin, etc.)

wHO IN THE HELL NOTICES THAT THEY'RE GONE?

Edit: Apps, sorry, accidentally hit caps lock 🙂

The company I used to work for had a building out next to a country club. These punk kids would ride their bikes through and steal hood ornaments and crap from cars in the parking lot. They had to send security out almost daily during the summer to keep the punks out.

It's actually VERY common, kids steal em and put them on their bikes and stuff.

They make caps that require a key to remove, so you can leave the key in your glove box whenever you need to fill up. Without the key, the cap just spins and spins 🙂

They were factory installed. Not bling bling (although I'm sure they are for someone's Huffy now...) At least the rims have locks...

Yeah, when I was in junior high, that was a fairly common thing for kids to do - steal the chrome valve stem caps and put them on their bikes (and/or sell them to their buddies for like 5 bucks 😉)
