I finally have some stability in my life as far as a job goes, so now I would like to ditch my POS accord and get something a little more reliable. I have two cars in mind, but I don't know which one is going to give me the better insurance rates as I haven't had the best record. Here are the cars:

Subaru Imprezza WRX
Dodge SRT4

Right now I have two accidents on my record, and I have no idea what one of these cars is going to cost me in insurance. I am also looking for suggestions of other cars that are in the same ballpark of these cars.

Wait, you're ditching a Honda for a Neon because you want reliability?

And with two accidents on your record, both those cars will cost you somewhere around the ballpark of "Man-Sex" per month to drive - never mind if either of those two accidents were your fault.

I suggest you keep the Accord and learn to drive. :p

don't get me wrong, I like the accord, but this one just hasn't been the best car for me. I have a few friends with honda's, and they have had much better luck than I have.

Hahaha go to an SRT4 forum and see how many people crash these babies...

The insurance was low the first year since the ins. co's figured it was just a neon...but they started adjusting the rates up...and up...and up..........

Anyway, my advice to you rmrf, is to not buy either of these cars you idiot, because you'll end up crashing and dying. I mean, at least have the good sense to not buy something you know you'll kill yourself in you moron.

But if you're gonna do it anyway get the WRX because it's safer than the SRT-4 because you're GOING to crash it.

But the upshot is that if you survive this 3rd crash you'll probably not even get insurance again for a few years. Yes, they WILL deny people insurance if they crash cars enough =p unless your state has one of those lame ass "we HAVE to give everybody insurance" laws, in which case you can look forward to paying $10000 for liability insurance.

Idiot.

Oh and learning to drive doesn't mean going to autocross, as I'm sure rmrf is convinced. That might help you drive better performance wise once you know how to just f'ing drive safely, but since you can't even master that, your mad leet new cornering speed will corner you off a cliff(something autocross courses are missing and you wouldn't have the good sense to remember exists in the real world).

Jackass.

I haven't heard good things about a stock WRX's handling either....not sure what that was compared to tho.

geez, I really don't remember asking for a critique on my driving skills. I just wanted to see what the consensus was on which of these cars, if any, would be lower on my insurance, and if anyone had any ideas of what kind of cars comparable to these would be cheaper.
