Car is a 1995 Mazda Protege LX, needs a set of front tires...

Wondering if I could find any tires on the internet and put them on myself and save some money or should I get them done by a shop?

Yup, tirerack.com and mount them at wal-mart. If you want a one-stop solution, Discount Tires (also called America's Tires depending on where you live) isn't that expensive.

I've found Falken and Kumho to be great value brands if you're on a budget.
