YACT: What's the highest relative value auto repair you ever had?

30-40% is where I draw the line, hence why I am looking for a new car.

Value = $500

I decided to say screw it and sold the car for $400.

Rebuilt transmission: $1000
Vehicle value: $2000

A couple weeks later, the engine blew up and we sold the vehicle for like $600 for parts.

My experience with this Dodge Caravan is why I will NEVER buy a chrysler EVER in my ENTIRE life again.

This is not my car but a customers from my work. He owns a 1983 Mercedes 300 Turbo Diesel and spent $5000 on body work (not in an accident) and another $1000 on A/C and misc work...
