YACT: What's happening to my steering wheel?

Allright, let me get the facts out first:

98 Honda Accord V6
84k miles on the car

The transmission was rebuilt by Honda dealer at no cost on me, so I was quite happy about that. After one week of repair, I went to pick up the car and the first instance I drove the car, the steering wheel just feels so much lighter. If you are a honda owner you would know that our steering wheel is typically heavier than Toyota's and Mazda's, but now after the transmission rebuilt, mine is just as light as those cars. Mmm, can't say I prefer the heavier feel, but what are the possible answer to the reason my steering wheel becomes lighter? Anyone?

Maybe the fluid level in the pump was low and they filled it when they put the tranny in. Low fluid is a common cause of heavy steering feel.

When's the last time you checked your tire pressure? A simple explanation could be that your tires were underinflated, and they pumped them up for you. Makes a big difference in steering feel. Just a thought.

Could the variable speed power assist in that model have been affected by a new transmission?

Mmm...I am thinking does it have something to do with torque? New transmission = better transfer of torque to the steering wheel?
