Specific recomendations? What looks good? Decent price?

What size would you recommend?

Also, if you go larger than stock.. is there a way to make the speedometer correct again? Or a way to avoid it being off in the first place?

What about tires? I suppose that would be much like an "What oil?" debate.. heh

I'd say about 17" would be nice. Nothing more than 18" though.

Definitely lower your car too afterward, otherwise you'll look like a 4x4.

steel rims with some hubcaps,
the car looks ugly and rims would
1) not help it at all
2) be a complete waste of money on a car thats worth about $1500

Um, stock rims. Rims on that model year Accord/Prelude looks god awful. Any size, any type. It's too damn square and boxy

It has rims on it now, but only two. They don't look bad at all. I'll get some pics and update the post.

Well in that case I'm probably not qualified to say anything else, other than my friend's old 'lude and my cousins Accord (similar in style/shape to the lude of that year) look kinda ugly with rims

Not sure of the size, either. The car has been lowered(PITA with sh!tty driveways), and .. yeah.

This is all for my brother's girlfriend's car, BTW. We were browsing wheel sites, and I just thought I would ask here.

Find out what lug pattern you car uses and find out what other cars use the same one and pick up some nicer looking used rims. No point in blowing a lot of money on an 88 lude. Most junkyards charge around $25 a wheel and sometimes you can get lucky and get some nice tires too :).

Get whatever you think looks good. Hopefully not some god-awful bling bling chrome crap....

Good rims make any car look good.

Yes, even your 88 prelude. Let us know what you get. :)
