YACT: What to get

Now, I'm not sure what kind of car to get. I've been looking at a bunch of them, and really I am a car noob, I don't know whats good and whats not. I've been looking at a bunch of things. I have no set price really, but would rather not spend a lot. If it's a good car, I can spend up to $10,000, but would rather spend somewhere like $5-7000. I don't need a car that looks great or goes really fast. I'm okay with it having a little damage on the outside, notice I said a little. I want it to be nicer on the inside though, and for things to work.

I want a car that is on the safe side. I would like to come out alive and not crippled if I ever get into an accident.

What I want is good gas mileage. I was even looking into diesels because of this, and still am a little bit.

I need something that is very reliable because I am not the greatest with cars and do not want to waste time and money fixing it.

I need low insurance costs.

What are the suggestions of the ATOT crew. Thanks.

Honda Civic. Toyota Corolla. And get one that hasn't been in any accidents, and doesn't have damage because you do not want to be okay with damage especially if you don't know how to fix cars. (check carfax.com)

if not for the somewhat unreliableness of Saab's and Volvo's i would reccomend them.

they are probably the safest vehicles on the road.
