4 door sedan.

those are my main requirements. im trying to figure out what cars i still need to test drive, and what ones are actually out there.

i can think of the
Cobalt
Civic
Sentra
Corolla

are there any others out there? they dont HAVE to be sedans, but they have to get good mpg (24 city+)

thanks

MIKE

used Subarus. Actually you can probably get a Impreza 2.5rs for just about 16k. Talking to a dealer yesterday and they sell them new but as used. So they cut off a decent amount off the price :)

Not a 4dr sedan. Doesn't meet 24mpg in city.

I assume ya want new? Most popular car in that class in Europe is the Ford Focus, also worth a drive. Also in the segment that wasn't mentioned is a Mitsu Lancer.

If you are willing to go up to a 18k price point, a VW Jetta or Golf are viable options as well as a Mini Cooper.

... the Neon is too old to really compete anymore.

This should be useful:

ford focus. the new interior is a big step up. and, after the first year, they've been pretty reliable. plus they are fun to drive.

invoice isn't the dealer's cost.

man whats with the attitude on these forums lately. All this post suggests is that yes, it's possible to get an accord at invoice, and if the OP takes a little bit of time to check aroud, maybe he can get an accord at invoice as well.

Still, how many dealers will give buyers the "invoice" price? Not many. Like they'll give a rat's ass if you walk away if they don't sell it to you at "invoice." There are plenty of suckers out there who will buy the car at well over the MSRP.

I've been happy with my Hyundai Elantra GT 5-door. It should be right in the 16k area and pretty much fully loaded.

The list is fairly straight forward. A quick search on here would probably net you the entire list. ;)
