YACT! What car used or new less then $30k for a single guy!

Forget the hybrids in the other thread I had started. Doesn't seem like a good idea and not many options as well.
Then I was thinking. Why am I trying to be sensible? I'll just do that when I'm older. I also found out that I can get deals on new AND used cars and ANY make also. So, new ball game.

For less then $30k, what car would best suite a guy that feels like he's going through a mid life crisis where NOTHING seems to be going right and everything seems meaningless!

Car has gotta be HOT looking of course! and MUST have a decent trunk so 350z ain't making the cut. A C5 vette but i'm not too into them.

So far a 2001 M3 is on top on my list!

I double the s2000, fast, small, convertible. Not very practical though, not a ton of trunk space.

Edit: and there is no car called an LS1, that's the engine. You're looking at a transam.

If you like muscle, look into Trans Am's, Camaro SS's, Cobra, etc.

Used Boxster S may come under $30k. M3 is a good choice too. Probably one of the fastest coupes in your price range. I have an 02 and it's very nice. Also have a supercharged Miata and it's more fun than the M3 FWIW. Life's too short to not drive a convertible.

You can't have a FWD mid life crisis car. Thats lame.

New mustang GT, pontiac solstice, miata, maybe a GTO if you can find one still under $30k. Used 03 Cobra, M3s, GTO, s2000 and vettes.

Go back in time. 1960s -1970s muscle car. Cheaper, easy to work on, no emissions testing for most of the 60s cars. For a midlife crisis you want to feel like Jim Rockford, not like an old man in a ricer.

WTF? You can't have an RSX, but you can have a Miata or a Solstice? What are you smoking?

RSX is a tarted up civic. Solstice and miatas are 2 seater rwd convertibles the main thing that comes to mind when you think of midlife crisis car next to bald and 50+ years old.
