2 problems: 94 saturn SL2

main one is my automatic seatbelt, on the driver side when I close the dor it keeps slidign up and down the track about 6 inches until I accelerate to about 15 miles an hour, then it slides into position. It's VERY VERY annoying:(

also about 6 months ago the seatbelt wouldn't work so I used this little piece of metal that locks into the track so I could manually put my seatbelt on. the piece came with the car and was in the glove box. now I can't get it out. anyone know how to remove those?

My power window won't work. all the others do. is it hard to replce the motor? is there soemthing else I should check first?

thanks

I don't know about the seatbelt thing. As far as the window, go to Autozone and ask them how much they are. You should be able to swap that out in 30-45 mins after you figure out how to take the door apart... It's not that easy, but it's not worth paying someone another $100 to do it. Take the time and reverse-engineer the door.... :p

If they don't stock aftermarket rebuilds on the window in your saturn, check the dealership as a last resort. They'll probably be priced about $30-50 higher. ;)

The power window could be the switch, or the motor, or a loose wire between the switch and the motor, you pretty much have to tear the door apart and see. Since the other windows are working, the fuse is probably good. Fixing the window will almost certainly be labor-intensive.

As far as the mouse belts are concerned (bloody stupid idea those were), I say just get them to the full "up" position and pull the fuse so that they never move again, then just use the belts manually. As for fixing it properly, some kind of sensor seems to be broken, I've got no idea what specific sensor though. You'll pretty much have to take it to a shop.
