Well, after a long financing fiasco, my family now has our 2002 Subaru Impreza 2.5TS in our hands. It is a manual transmission, dark green colored. What a kick-ass car to drive. I love it. Anyone else have an Impreza?

Well it's my family's (read: mom's) car, so i'm not gonna dump a ton of money into it. The sound system as it is kicks ass. Any suggestions for minor mods?

STi spoiler and 17" inch rims. Though I must ask, why not the WRX if you're going to pour mods into an 2.5?

I'm not going to pour mods into it. That's the point. And it's not MINE anyways..

Absolutely definately get that 17mm sway bar; u should be able to get one locally from a wrx owner for about 40 dollars

its cake to install too...

itll make a HUGE difference on handling (20 makes it quite rear happy so ur mom might not appreciate that)

All I know is that it handles amazingly. However, I was driving out of the school parking lot today, and decided to give it some power turning onto the street. The road was a little wet, and I basically whipped the back end out, and ended up driving in the other lane for a sec, before I corrected.

What exactly is this 17mm sway bar? Can someone explain it's purpose? And if it's so wonderful, why dont the WRX owners keep them?

In terms of speed, what does a Subaru Impreza or a wrx compare to? I always hear that they are those cool fast cars, but what can you compare them to?

wrx owners (specifically wagon owners - who have 17mm) want larger aftermarket rear sway bars so they dump they oem ones...u currently have a stock 13 mm rear sway bar
