YACT: U.S. launches Toyota safety probe

something similar happened to me in my toyota/lexus. I was at a stop sign, really tired, and all of a sudden my car lurged forward. I quickly try to react and before I hit the brake I must have tapped the gas because i felt that i was pressing on a pedal but accelerated even more. What happened? I typically use my right foot to use the brakes and the accelerator, i must not have moved it over far enough (using the heal as a pivot) and had it resting on both... i guess i leaned on the gas that time. I think there were 5 complaints in the government database for this problem on my car. i can't say if the camry/es has a mechanical problem or not, but in my case it wasn't.
