YACT: Title is lost! how do I sell?

The car was bought by my grandmother and then given to me when she went into a nursing home. The title was filled out over to me, but never processed and my mother lost the title.


The car is probably worth 500-1k max, and im trying to figure out what to do with it.

Request a duplicate title. The DMV or your county clerk office should be able to handle it for you.

Like conjur said, ~$10.00 and couple of weeks later you'll have a replacement title.

If the tile change was not processed, woowoo is correct. Car belongs to Grandma according to the state unless you have a bill of sale.

If she is not around, the the executor of her estate must sign over the title to you.
If she has a legal guardian, then that person will have to sign title to you if she is incapable.
