YACT: Tire Pressure

I just went and bought a tire gauge (been meaning to buy one since the car's been riding a little rough). The front wheels were both 32 PSI on the dot, and the back were both 22 PSI. My mom's boyfriend said they should be 32 PSI all around. Is there any reason that both of the back would be 22 each, and should I leave them all at 32 PSI?

1997 Chevy Lumina, front wheel drive, if that changes anything about the tire pressure matter.

most passenger cars, like sedans , have a recommended range of about 28-32 psi all around

you can check your owner's manual/the plate on the side of the door, but i would bump them up to 30 psi
