If you're going to get a Mazdaspeed6, be aware that many dealers are offering huge rebates of up to $4500, and you could probably negotiate for more on top of that.

Considering you could get a WRX STI for about that price... I'd just get the STI.
Where have you seen a new STI for $28,500? Or even less since you can negotiate the price more on the Mazda.

Anyone think it is possible to get a Speed6 with Nav for 25k? Lowest I've gotten so far is ~27k.

What's the best place to find out rebates and quotas for car dealers?

Hey Doboji, are you by any chance in the mazda6club forums?

I got a speed6 (traded an 03 6s) a couple of months ago and I must say I love driving it. And if you are into modding, a simple CAI and turboback will push you up beyond what that would've done in a N/A car. Just head on over to mazda6club.com and check the mazdaspeed section.

Pros:
Everything Doboji said
Keyless Entry (all I carry is my wallet/cell)
You can find deals of 27-28k out the door for fully loaded models if you look. Maybe less.

Cons:
Muffler - muffler tips are in the bumper, and the real exhaust tips are floating inside
Shifting takes a little while to get used to - this is my first mtx and it took me some time

If you're looking for rebates and such, check the mazdausa site. They have everything listed. After that, try contacting dealers through their internet sales dept.

$30K car and moonroof's an option? Pass.

I'd rather have it as an option than forced on me. Moonroof's are a really bad idea if you plan on auto crossing the car and add race tires. I've seen them break before from hard cornering.

Huh - never heard of that. What forces cause it to break in cornering? I'm having a hard time visualizing it.

True, the frame/body of the car has a certain amount of bending under hard cornering, but I've never heard of a moonroof breaking due to that. First of all, the more malleable material of the roof would absorb most of the force, second of all, there's a certain amount of give between the glass and hard material around it (with the foamy stuff in between) and lastly, I really doubt there's enough bending for such great stress to be put on the glass.
