Right now I"m eyeing the Nikon D series, I really want to go SLR so I wont lock myself into a given configuration.

Anyone have experince with the Nikon line of SLR products?

I've got an entire set of 35mm lenses from a half dozen old F1 and F2's.

Worst case scenario is I have to get some more lenses, no big deal.
