a Mazda6 or a Mazda Protege5. Your thoughts.

Customer ratings on edmunds are pretty good for both, both have pretty good deals going on right now. Won't need to fit all 6 of us in either at one time, maybe 5, but we will use the other vehicle if all 6 need to go out.

6 people? I have an Avalanche and I feel sorry for the 6th person in my truck. Neither Mazda will carry 5 or 6 comfortably.
 
Id get the 6 hands down. The RX-8 is nice, but I wouldn't buy one this year. Id wait till their second year of productions to give mazda engineers time to work out the bugs.

The i model with leather and some other goodies. We just need a fuel efficient vehichle for work and back and the occassional picking up the 4 kids. the Explorer Sport Trac is just not cutting it on the fuel efficiency side.
