YACT: The wire for my trunk is loose...

The back doesn't close because the wire is loose. I flick the switch and it does nothing. Can I just cut the wire and use my key for entry? Or will that even work after I cut the wire?

Hahaha, yeah. The two cars I've owned don't even have internal releases.

The only problem with your plan is that it's a hatchback.

What's wrong with hatchback? If I can actually close it, I'd just leave it. The seats in back come down so I can still use the trunk. It's a pain when I wanna carry luggage, but it's better than having the trunk lid slam everytime I go over a speed bump.
