yact - subwoofer installation

a sony X-plod subwoofer was donated to me. It's not of extremley good quality, but it's sure better then a stock.

Now, I want to install it, but I have no idea how. how do I install it? It's 1 speaker in a little black box. on the side of the box, I see a red and black hole, so I"m sure one end of the wires go there. what about the other end? do they connect to my speakers in the trunk? I have no idea. I have a 2002 honda civic.

any sites with diagrams or something?

Get it done professionally because youhave no clue what you'd be doing even if we told you.

DO you feel comfortable installing an AMP? If not, you aren't going to be using the Sub any time soon 😉

nice diagram DrumminBoy. very simple, straightforward.

Semidevil, do yourself a BIG favor by taking it to a shop. sounds like if you try to do this yourself, you're going to end up regretting it.

well in short here is what you would have to do.

take the head unit out, plug in a wire to it, take a wire through your firewall, and connect onto your battery w/ a fuse, ground the wire, buy an amp, connect wires to amp, connect amp to sub.

(VERY SIMPLIFIED)
