I hate when you peopel use all this "logical" statistial reliability BS to say which car is better. VW is german made. Germans are smarter and better engineers than americans or asians. There cars are beter and they only mess up when peopel don't PUT OIL IN THERE CARs. Learn to take car of yur car and VW is the best.

None of those stupid reliablity things take into account of the fact that only ignorant people report bad things to their VWs. See, americans and asisan car owners expect problems, so they don't really go to the dealerships when something breaks becuz they don't give a crap. VW owners take their car in anytime they here a sqeeke because of bad american roads and then VW fixes it and it gets them a bad wrap.

Let me provide all of the data you need to shut yur mouth because you're jealous that you don't own a Vdub:

He cares enough about his car to take it into the shop to be fixed every time something breaks (which is quite frequently) and get bent over and raped on repair charges. Of course a month or two later the same thing breaks again, so he's really just flushing money down the toilet.

As an attorney, I have had to make 3 separate claims against VW on behalf of my clients... more than any other so far...

that does not scream reliability.

Not only that, but the first site's reviews are 2 years old and there are ZERO negative reviews on the site.
In the second link, the guy who wrote the review is obviously joking (he lists all the problems with his VW and then says "Dependability seems to be a strong point"). Plus most of the other consumer reviews on the page are negative.

Oh, and that "Car of the Year" award went to the Golf V, which we don't get in North America yet. Not that it sounds too prestigious to begin with.

I seriously hope this is a joke.
