YACT: Squealing from transmission

Car: 05 Ford Phuckus, about 3,000 miles on odo.

Problem: Faint squealing from transmission on cold starts. Squeal corresponds to RPM and it is there whether in neutral or in gear and it disappears when the clutch is pushed in or after the car warms up completely

I don't think it's the throwout bearing, because, a failing throwout bearing would mean squealing when the clutch is pushed in.

Anyone?

Just off the top of my head but how about the casings when the trans and the engine meet up? Vibrates when it is cold then when the metal expans because of heat or when pressure is applied to the clutch the noise will go away.

Reason Im going for this is because it seems to new to have a TOB go out and this makes more sense since it is new. Maybe have them check and see that all bolts are tight holding the trans to the engine and if so it may just go away after time.

But with the way it is described and not making this noise while moving just sitting till warms up or clutch is ingaged I will bet anything its just a metal on metal vibrating noise.
