YACT: Speaker upgrade questions - Components or "regular" on a '98 contour.

I am going to install new speakers in my girlfriends '98 contour. It takes Ford sized 6x8's which are available, but not in component's(seperate's) configuration. So I can install a pair of 6" components in her car, and drill a hole in the upper door. My question is, is it worth the hassel, or should I just stick with installing some "regular" non-component factory spec 6x8 speakers in the door?
