YACT...sorta

Hey, I need to replace my drivers side mirror on my pontiac grand am SE, 96. I found one at http://www.autobodypartsonline.com/ for 49.95. Does anyone here know how good that site is in terms of delivery, or perhaps could direct me to a site with a cheaper price? Thanks all.

BTW, already searched Ebay for the part, I didnt come up with anything...and frankly, im not too fond of ebay or most auction sites. but if you have a reliable one, let me know.

FYI: Its not an OEM part and chances are it won't fit the same way an OEM part will. Then again, it is a GM so who said it fit right to begin with:p;) (sorry, cheap shot had to be taken)

"99% of all body part orders are shipped on time! However if the parts ordered are not in stock, ABPOL will back order the parts and let the customer knows about the delay in shipping. The customer then can approve a delayed shipping or cancel the order. At no time will a defective body part be rushed to the customer!

Delivery Time: 2 - 4 business days to any West Coast locations and 5 - 10 business days to all other locations in the US including the East Coast. Items out of stock varies from 5 - 15 days. If we can not get an item, we will credit the account within 72 hours."

That sounds about right... dont have personal experience with it though, so...

Well, lets just say it will probably be the last Grand Am I will have. Its been good to me, but from the looks and quality of other cars, I will be changing once I am out of school. In the meantime though, I just need a mirror on that side...car looks retarded without one. Do you think I could dremel away some of the plastic to make it fit correctly?

Judging by that comment you should be fine. You could also try a junk/salvage yard if those aren't too far away. Also, check http://www.partsamerica.com That's Kragen/Checker/etc. and they carry some aftermarket stock replacement parts as well. I bought the sideview mirrors for my accord there. Yes, they don't quite fit right so the whistle at highway speeds. That and the plastic sucks.
