Glad you're ok.

That said, this is the kind of crap that happens when people swerve instead of braking.

braking isn't always best but in this case swerving obviously wasn't the answer, better to honk and have them bump into you than go swerving across lanes like a jackass

hehe check w/ the doc just in case man. There maybe hidden injuries you can't feel now, but may cause complications later on. just speaking from experience. but i donno, i'm no doc. But i'm just saying.

well, all in all, you're ok. so that = win! :thumbsup:

Ford = American
Ford owns Mazda
Therefore Mazda = American 😀

Of course he didn't know that. Why would a hopeless fanboi bother to check his facts? Or even take note of the number of Accords and Tercels that are still going at 300k?

I'd like to start a motion that the next time this trolling bastard posts "jap crap" in a thread, he gets vacationed for a week and has to keep "I'm a hopeless car n00b" in his sig for the week after he comes back.

Yes, that probably did help. The fact that the motor AND transmission died in mine at the exact same time, (literealy:|) has conviced me that the non GT Escorts are pretty much junk.

MasterAndCommander, Blast you and your infernal logic! 😉

I tried braking but I would have hit the car cutting me off if I didn't change lanes, but the @ss in the silver car contiuned to cut me off in the left lane. That is why I lost control of my car and ended up sideways in the left lane.

Update: The body shop gave me an estimate of $850 to repair both door pillars, straighten the fender and quarter panel, and paint my replacement door. I have a door that I bought over the summer. I'm not sure if I want to put this kind of money in a car that is almost 13 years old and has 210K miles but the car runs great and I haven't found a comparable car for less than a $1000. This car is a daily driver just to get me to work and back. On the other hand car is drivable and I really need to do is tape off the gap at the top of the door.

What do you guys or gals think I should do?

Fix it you can't replace it for that(this is your wallet speaking).

I'm the only one that voted....so far....
