YACT: slow into 1st

rh71

No Lifer
Everytime I continue from a stop sign or go from P(ark), it takes an extra 1-2 seconds for the acceleration to kick in.

In other words, if I hit the gas immediately after I let off the brake, it would not "kick forward" until an extra 1-2 seconds. So what I do to accommodate the condition is let it idle forward those 1-2 seconds before I hit the gas again, so it doesn't feel like I'm forcing it.

What could be causing this ? '90 Accord.

Ok, but would this be a mechanical thing or lack-of-fluid/lubrication kind of thing ?

It is low tranny fluid, or a air pocket in the torque converter.

My 2000 Dodge does the same thing when I change the fluid & drain the TC.
