YACT - Slid off the road

Hi guys,

I was driving out of my condo complex yesterday on icy roads. I turned my car to the left to follow the road, but my car had other ideas and continued straight. I hit the curb at ~30km/h. My gf and I got out to take a look but saw no visible damage and continued on our way. It turns out that my steering wheel is off-center when my wheels are straight and that my car distinctly pulls to the right. In addition, I can hear the wheel scraping against the wheel well as I make left turns.

Any idea of how much this is going to cost to get fixed? I just need a ballpark figure. Is it going to cost me an arm or an arm and a leg? 🙁

less than 100 bucks for 4 wheel alignment if it is in fact the only thing wrong

hope you didnt bend anything, if so 🙁

Hopefully a simple alignment would be all it would take, but hitting the curb as hard as you did you may of bent some suspension components, that can get pricey depending on what is bent.

Yep, as mentioned it could be dozens of things.

Depending on how much it pulls, it could just be the alignment, but is more likely to be damage to the rim, control arm, or many other things. I would recommend not driving on it... you don't know what kind of impact the tire had and it could easily blow out just driving down the road. Play it safe and here's for hoping it's just something simple!

If it's rubbing the wheel well then that would make one think there's some serious damage.

-edit-
meaning start at 1000 and go up.

Yep. Get it checked out, but expect to replace some serious front suspension parts & your rim.

If your tire is scraping the wheelwell, your suspension is bent. Alignment my ass.

Edit: And it can't be a tie rod. That would only steer the wheel and have the same effect as the alignment being off.
