YACT: Scion tC about as fast as Camry?

So they both have the same engine. The tC is about 10% lighter, 3000lbs vs 3300lbs. How much faster is the tC to the Camry? My mom has a 2003 Camry SE and it's pretty slow. I just tested the 0-60, it gets 9.3 seconds. My 1992 stock Corolla LE gets 9.7 seconds. I've been wanting the tC for a while now, I love the looks and I read it's pretty fast and nimble. But if it's anything like my mom's Camry, I think I'll get something else, maybe Mazda 3?

So anyone know the performance compared to the Camry SE?
BTW my mom's camry is an import if it makes any difference. Made in Japan.

Where? And stock? Did that site have numbers for the camry too?

i just said google cause i was feeling lazy

scion tc about 7.5 seconds...a lot lighter than the camry.
camry about 8.5 seconds.
neither are very fast cars

Supercharge the tC.

The Scion probably runs mid-15s in the 1/4..not 'fast', but not 'slow' either.
