You don't know how well the repairs were performed and you'll get sh!t for it if you want to sell it. Although, a car will have a "salvage" title if the interior is stripped and then replaced. YMMV.

Depends on why it was salvaged. Flooded cars are completely rebuildable but insurance companies usually total them.

NEVER buy a water-damaged car.

Now wouldn't that depend on the car and your ability to fix it?

I used to auction salvaged titles vehicles and retored them. Some salvaged title vehicles maybe: stripped, flooded, or has been in an accident. I would pay a little more for a non-salvage title used car.

A lot say you can't really fix a water damaged car.

Anyway, I'd only buy a salvage if it was DIRT CHEAP because you have no resale, plus whatever issue caused it to be salvaged in the first place.

The problem is you don't know how high the water got and what got corroded. The main problem is electrical gremlins. IMHO that's the hardest thing to fix in modern cars.
