It's a 2001 Accord. I replaced the Cap and Rotor last weekend but didn't use the Distributor Gasket that came with the new cap because there wasn't one there stock. Do I need it? If so, how urgent is it? I left the gasket about 60 miles away from me, and was planning on driving to LA (400 miles each way) this weekend. Stupid me =(

Thanks.

probably to help keep water out to avoid corrosion... but no, it's not needed. i would've put it on anyway.

Its just to keep water out. Doesn't matter a whole lot.

And yes, Honda still used dizzys on Accords up to 2002.

EDIT: The 4 banger is used in the 6th gen Accords, 98-02, is just a revision of the one used in the 5th gen, 94-97 which in itself was a revision of the one used in the 4th gen, 90-93. Great engine.
