WD-40 will remove it and shouldn't hurt your paint. or you can get tar and sap remover.

wash and wax your car a lot.
polish and elbow grease should do the trick.

get a better parking spot.

Clay bar takes off sap, and isn't crazy and harsh like WD40 or kerosene.

kerosene is not harsh at all. it wont remove any paint, nor clear coat.

I've used lighter fluid before. Works well. Or Kerosene. Or bug and tar remover. They're probably all pretty close to the same thing.

After you remove the actual substance itself, if you have an remaining etching or staining Zymol polish seems to work really well on pulling stuff such as that out.
