I have a fixed antenna on the right fender right by the hood. The antenna is threaded on the end and screws into the antenna assembly. Somehow the antenna broke off at the threaded end leaving a broken off bolt inside the assembly

How do I go about removing the broken bolt and is it possible to do it without damaging the thread in the antenna assembly(where antenna rod screws into)?

yes. you need to have a allen wrench and a drill bit that is very slightly smaller than the diameter of the allen wrench. drill into the broken bolt, tap the allen wrench into it and unscrew it.

antenna stud is kinda small, so youre gonna have to be carefull.

The broken bolt is recessed into the hole :(

Pics? Maybe you can get something inside it to work it around to where you can get a pair of pliers on it.

The stud is perhaps 3/16" so I don't even know if I can even drill in the middle of the broken stud. I'll try it in the morning.

Double bolt it. If I understand the problem correctly. Put one nut or bolt or whatever you want to call it on the stub, put another one right on top. Use a wrench to take the first bolt off.

This worked great when I had to remove a cracked bolt while changing the thermostat in my car.

get an "easy out"

1. punch center of broken-off bolt
2. drill hole in center of said bolt (easy-out package will tell what size)
3. insert easy-out
4. turn counter-clockwise
5. ????
6. Profit!

or you could just buy a new antenna
