I prefer to use a gauge rather than just guessing. You can get a can with a gauge built in or just buy a tool for it rather cheap.

Ok have have changed the link...This one has a gauge on it. I was wondering if these work.

Yup, they work, just make sure your car uses the same type of refrigerant. It should say under the hood what to use (will probably be r-134 if it's a newer car, or r12 if older, and you can't recharge r12 anymore)

How long have you had the car and what year is it ? You should never have to replace the refrigerant unless you have a leak somewhere or some other part of the a/c went bad somehow (compressor etc.).

Yeah it should be R-134 then. If you know someone or can get a gauge to check the pressure in the system to see if it's low I would do that first before shelling out money just to lose the refrigerant again. Just a thought
