$300 isn't a bad deal. If the Civic is anything like a Honda accord it should be an easy DIY. Radiator cost between $100-$200.
 
Hmm.
Here's a thought .. tell them to repair it, or let you take it to a radiator place for repair.
When they say it can't be repaired because it is too corroded - booya! new radiator under warranty! (?)
